Ticey Hosley is the founder of Stocks for Everyday People, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. She holds a Doctorate in Education from San Diego State and Claremont Graduate University. Ticey grew up in the San Diego community Stocks 4 Everyday People will serve and she identifies firsthand with the financial struggles of many community members. She knows the struggles all too well. It is this connection with the community that truly drives the work being carried out through Stocks 4 Everyday People.

Ticey Hosley is the founder of Stocks for Everyday People, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. She holds a Doctorate in Education from San Diego State and Claremont Graduate University. Ticey grew up in the San Diego community Stocks 4 Everyday People will serve and she identifies firsthand with the financial struggles of many community members. She knows the struggles all too well. It is this connection with the community that truly drives the work being carried out through Stocks 4 Everyday People.
Having grown up in a low-income household, Ticey was never exposed to information about budgeting, money management, investing, credit reporting, saving, etc. She lived in a world where day-to-day financial survival was the only focus. Ticey was well into adulthood before she began to build a stronger financial foundation, to not only improve her financial status, but to enable her to pass on wealth to her children.
In doing so she realized that with her background as a lifelong educator, she could share the information she was learning with others and potentially have a profound impact on people’s lives. It was then that the Stocks4EverydayPeople non-profit organization was born.
Stocks4EverydayPeople provides financial literacy and stocks/investing education to individuals from historically marginalized backgrounds with little to no knowledge about money management, saving, investing, budgeting, credit scores, etc.
Through our services we prepare individuals to make more informed financial decisions, while developing a sense of agency over their lives. Ultimately, we seek to improve the quality of our clients’ lives, by moving them from a place of survival to solid financial grounding.
Our Mission
At Stocks 4 Everyday People, we envision a world where individuals from all backgrounds have access to financial literacy education and resources that empower them to achieve financial stability and success. By providing comprehensive financial education and support, we can help individuals break free from the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Our goal is to create a world where financial literacy is accessible to everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic status.
